AmCham Regional Outreach – Craiova & Slatina

This initiative was designed to strengthen regional ties by connecting AmCham members with Craiova’s municipal authorities and the local business ecosystem.

During the visit, we had valuable discussions with local authorities, including Craiova’s Mayor, and explored major industrial sites such as Ford Otosan and Prysmian Cables and Systems.

The outreach successfully delivered on its primary objectives. Participants learned about investment and financing incentives available in South-West Oltenia, with Craiova serving as the economic engine of Dolj County. The event featured targeted presentations and on-site visits within the automotive and manufacturing sectors, helping attendees understand the region’s strengths and identify where companies can make the greatest impact.

Network building was enhanced through structured B2B exchanges that bridged Bucharest’s businesses with regional companies and decision-makers. Participants heard directly from Craiova’s municipal authorities about their roadmap for economic development that supports new investments.

This initiative highlighted the region’s growing potential in the manufacturing and automotive sectors and opened new perspectives for future collaboration and investment. The event effectively showcased the South-West Oltenia region’s capacity to support industrial operations and its integration into broader economic networks.

Taking part in this event reinforced our commitment to supporting industrial development and being actively involved in Romania’s regional growth. The outreach demonstrated the importance of connecting national and regional business communities to identify mutual opportunities for development and partnership.
